Seeking the Light & Truth Within: Herbal Medicine & Foraging
In my latest video in the series, Seeking the Light & Truth Within, I travel to Upton on Severn near the Malvern Hills in Worcestershire to meet Jeremy Griffiths BA, DBTh, MIRCH - a registered medical herbalist – his apothecary is called, The Green Man.
Jeremy is a self-proclaimed medical and bare knuckles herbalist, who runs foraging trips around Upton leading people into the world of the Green Man, an ancient symbol of healing & rejuvenation. On this journey into the environment of wild herbs, we learn about their healing properties, the influence of the elements and environment on their character and temperament as well as their place as a food source. We also learn about the Doctrine of Signatures, where the Divine, Source of All has left special characteristics, informing us about the health benefits of herbs.
Jeremy has more than three decades of personal and professional experience as a medical herbalist, forager and survivalist. He also trained as a five-star chef. He has not used any pharmaceutical products for himself and his family for more than 20 years. Jeremy has a deep connection with the land and his ancestors and believes in treating the root of the issue, rather than any symptoms.
Jeremy’s wish is to achieve a healthy balance within his clients through herbal medicine, so the health benefits ripple out to family members and friends. Jeremy hopes herbalism and other holistic treatments will be embraced by society rather than the current attitude to healthcare. Jeremy hopes to empower people and encourages them to get out foraging and learning about herbs so they can take control of their own health and well-being, lovingly guided by holistic experts & Spirit.
