British Landscape Painter, Victoria Orr Ewing is inspired by the beauty and remoteness of the Scottish Outer Hebrides, painting landscapes which verge on abstraction.

I was captivated by Victoria’s art when I went to her studio in Gloucestershire. It is evident Victoria works from the heart. She thoroughly enjoys depicting the rapidly changing light in often wild weather, in both oil and acrylic paint. She immerses herself in Mother Nature, co-creating works of art - often on large canvases - where the viewer feels small & transient but part of the landscape. Victoria’s work evokes a sense of awe, wonder and stillness within the viewer. Her paintings may evoke a deeply meditative experience within the viewer too.
“I met Helen when she came to interview me in my art studio. Not only was she a fabulous interviewer, I discovered she was also an Interfaith Minister, Reiki Master and a counsellor. My mother had recently lost her partner and moved form Scotland to come to live next door to me. We got chatting about grief counselling and I suggested that she might meet my mother. She thought I might also benefit from some healing and Reiki myself. Some time later we had an amazing meeting, first talking, particularly about being a carer and the difficulties it can pose followed by a Reiki session. It was truly eye opening and very significant.
